Ushering in a Year of Change

Well I guess everyone is settling into 2019 as the year begins and as the year beckons, it’s also important to take stock of the past years achievements, failures and lessons learnt.

2018 was a year of great trials and tribulations for us all having lost so many lives on our roads though so many organisation’s and people literally eat sleep and breathe road safety awareness but alas, there is no significant change to our behavior toward one another whilst at the the mercy of motor vehicles. It deeply saddens us at Comegetchu the rate at which road accident fatalities have remained somewhat consistent over the last couple of years yet we are all aware of the fact that road safety is our own responsibility as citizens and road users.

Is being courteous and humble toward other motorists that difficult? Is knowing when you’ve had enough to drink that difficult to notice? Is obeying traffic signs that difficult?

My fellow countrymen, we implore you all if not challenge you all to a safer Botswana driving experience, one of peace and solidarity, United as one to save and preserve ours and our children’s lives. Have a blessed year as we look forward to seeing you all in the next one, and the next one and beyond.
